The number one issue facing small chicken producers is processing. We give the owners of small homestead or market flocks an economical processing option. When you hire Badger’s Millside Farm to process your chickens, ducks, turkeys, and other fowl, we will bring a commercial processing setup and labor to your farm.
You’re welcome to help if you like, but we understand if you’d rather do other farm chores, spend time with your family or sip coffee on your porch while you watch the feathers fly.
No Crates, No Problem
Chicken crates are expensive and many chicken growers don’t make the investment, which poses an obvious problem when it comes time to take your chickens to the processor. Most processors I know will let you borrow crates, but that means you need to make an extra trip to the butcher for crates. That’s a lot of time, mileage, and gas.
We’ll bring chicken crates with us on processing day, so while we set up the mobile processing unit, you can round up your chickens from the pasture or the coop and bring them to the kill station. You are responsible for catching your chickens and moving them to the MPU.

Give us a call to schedule your processing dates now. We’re going to be offering Saturday processing dates, and depending on where you are and how many chickens you have, we will schedule evening dates, too. The bottom line is this: we want you make it easy for you to raise chickens, so we’re willing to offer a full-service poultry processing service.
We’ll go where the chickens are, but generally we expect our service area to be Lycoming, Montour, Columbia, Luzerne, Sullivan, Bradford, Northumberland, Tioga, Centre, Snyder and Union Counties.
