Whiting True Blue are consistent, prolific layers of a blue egg. Feather pattern is variable and colorful. Should begin laying at 20 weeks, but may be a longer depending on the season and other factors.
Birds will breed true for blue egg color. Our original birds were purchased from Murray McMurrary Hatchery.

The original Whiting True Blue layer was developed by Dr. Tom Whiting, a poultry geneticist, of Whiting Farms in Colorado. The original cross was a White Leghorn with a Ameraucana.
